Smart Meters:
This section is designed to give you a simple overview of why conserving energy is important, not only because it saves you money, but because it will have a real impact on the environment. We provide a range of energy metering ( Smart Meters) and data collection solutions, all aimed at putting you back in control of your costs. All electricity supplies with a demand in excess of 100kW are required to have half hourly ( HH) metering equipment that can be remotely interrogated.
It is the customers responsibility to appoint a meter operator who supplies and maintains the metering system and communications link. Electricity supplies with a demand of less than 100kW are not obliged to have half hourly metering equipment installed and are known as non-half hourly (NHH) supplies. The charges for these services are often recovered via the chosen electricity supplier’s bill. However there is an active and extremely competitive market for meter operation services within the UK for both (NHH) and (HH) and many customers, particularity those with multi-sites can achieve significant cost savings and service enhancements by sourcing a national meter operation agreement.

Meter Operations and Data Collection: Businesses have had the right to nominate their own data collector/aggregator (DC/DA) since 1998. But many customers have not taken advantage of this opportunity, leaving their chosen electricity supplier to appoint their preferred provider. There are significant advantages to be gained by nominating your own data collector/aggregator including enhanced data provision often at little/no extra cost. We can advise on all aspects of meter operation, data collection and data aggregation services, including sourcing national agreements, service specifications and benchmarking of costs. |

Carbon Trust Energy Surveys: Our consultants can help you apply for a Energy Management Carbon Trust Survey and help identify energy-saving opportunities and provide practical advice on how to achieve these.
