Are your energy bills too high? Do you want to know exactly what you can do in your business to reduce energy costs?
Catalyst has audited around 250 businesses across all sectors, ranging in energy spend from £10k to £25M annually. Our results show that most businesses can reduce their energy bills by 10% through better energy management, or by 25% with carefully chosen energy efficient equipment upgrades.
Some businesses have even saved more than 50% with a blend of renewable technologies, on site micro generation and fully automated monitoring and targeting solutions. In real financial terms, this means that for a company with an annual electricity spend of £100k a company can reduce this to around £10k per year, with minimum capital expenditure. Or with a small capital investment we have seen savings of between £15-30k with a measurable return on investment of between 1 and 2 years only. These sort of savings often surprise people, but they are very real and very achievable.

Everyday our Business Energy Consultants help Directors, Business Owners and Managers identify energy efficiency opportunities and a blend of renewable technologies to help eliminate energy waste and improve profitability.
Too often, energy audits fail to deliver the promised dividends. Sometimes the audit captures only a few of the potential energy saving opportunities, and often the follow through is ad hoc: projects are implemented in a piecemeal way without a clear focus on priority areas, and so the bigger benefits never materialise. Our systematic approach ensures we overcome these barriers. The first step entails our energy specialists carrying out a comprehensive energy audit (Phase 1) to provide a clear and unbiased evaluation of each property. We identify all major energy saving opportunities and estimate the costs and benefits of each potential project, so you can prioritise those areas most worth tackling.
We help you understand what your energy efficiency opportunities are, and show you how to take advantage of any government funding, renewable incentives or investment.
Such is the confidence in our service that we are prepared to offer you a money-back guarantee on the cost of the audit.
10% Savings or Your Money Back
We’ll identify cost effective measures to reduce your annual electricity bill by at least 10%, or the energy audit is free.
Business Energy Audits start at £1,499, which applies to all businesses with a combined energy spend over £250,000 per year on energy. If your business spends more than this, the audit price will be roughly proportional to your total annual energy spend and location size.
We service the following locations for the same low price (bookings outside these areas may attract travel charges):
Birmingham, London, Northampton, Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Sheffield.
What does an energy audit involve?
Our service will provide you with one of our professional energy auditors who will spend several hours assessing your site for energy efficiency measures and financial saving opportunities.
During our site survey and energy audit, one of our energy auditors will visit your site and discuss your working processes with your senior staff. They will look to gain an understanding of your working operations and inspect your site to gain a further insight. They will look to inspect your high energy intensive pieces of equipment, your lighting, heating and ventilation equipment, air conditioning, energy controls, refrigeration and chillers, air compressors, water consuming equipment, and anything else that is using energy that they feel could make a significant impact. Depending on the type of the audit, the auditor may take additional measurements of temperatures, pressures, light levels, power draw, and photographs to support any further proposals or reports.
Each of these measures are developed so that the report includes the following measures for all businesses
We take an approach to not just identify potential monetary and carbon savings but to provide a convincing case to make them happen through installations of energy, water and waste saving measures. Through this we help to achieve:
Following the Site Audit we will make specific recommendations of technologies which may be suitable. Alongside this we will recommend financing options which range from private finance, Feed-in-Tariff and Renewable Heat Incentive plus Invest-to-Save budgets and loans.
Once agreed, we can arrange and fully project manage the installation of these technologies.
