Aluminum Castings Manufacturer - Site Survey
Following the Kyoto Conference in 1997, the UK government agreed to reduce carbon dioxide levels by 20% by 2010. The Climate Change Levy was introduced in April 2001 to help and encourage businesses to respond. As a manufacturer of finished aluminum castings for the automotive industry, the company is a high user of energy it was considered affected by the Climate Change Levy.
A Site Energy Audit was undertaken and related to production output to establish baseline energy efficiency values. A strategy was outlined which included procedures for the management of energy and the reduction of waste.
