On the day that British Gas hiked prices by 9.2%, with the average customer’s annual bill rising more than £120, they decided to do a Twitter chat on the same day with their Customer Service Director, Bert Pijls, answering your questions.
The result was inevitable with the #askBG hashtag taken Twitter by storm followed by the obvious #SocialMediaFail. Customers are tweeting about everything from Scrooge McDuck through to which bank notes burn best. Here is just a small sample of some of them.
