UK energy prices ended the week generally lower Whilst the Carbon and Coal price ended the week higher there was a sharp decline in the price of a barrel of oil -3.49% compared to the previous week. Price falls in this commodity were a result of concerns about slowing global growth outweighing supply. Demand from the domestic sector fell over 5% week-on-week thanks to less cool weather which loosened the network. LNG dropped sharply (attaining a send-out of only 10 mcm by the end of the week Vs 21 mcm in the previous week). By close of play on Friday (05th July the October-2019 annual contracts for electricity and gas closed lower -0.33% and -0.53% respectively.
