UK energy prices ended the week higher.  The oil price rose considerably during, ending higher on renewed concern over the US-China trade war.  There were also rises in Coal and Carbon markets: Hard Coal burn in Germany rose week on week contributing to the boost in the Coal price. Previous bullishness from news of faulty nuclear reactors in France and capacity at the German OPAL pipeline dissipated which helped to cap the rate of gains during the week.    By close of play on Friday (20/09) the October-2019 annual contracts for electricity/gas closed lower +0.09%/-0.88% respectively but longer dated annual contracts closed higher.
